I had an interesting discussion with a new client this morning which started out with a question.

“Why do I need fresh content?” He asked.

Which may be a question many potential blogging clients are also asking. Which is why I wanted to cover it in today’s blog post.

Why exactly do you need fresh content for your website? Many website owners have the standard 4 or 5 page static website and do ok. Why do they need to update the site at all?

Because they probably need to do better than just OK. I know I want my websites to perform better. And it may not be, if the content is stale and old. Which is not just my opinion, it’s also how the search engines see your website. They want to see new content on a regular basis. In their eyes, it tells them that your company cares about your website and your clients. Offering them new information and new reasons to keep visiting your site.

If they just find the same old stuff, well, then it’s just the same old stuff. There is really no reason that your site is better than the other sites in your industry. However, if your website is a standout in the crowd, then it is going to be rewarded. That means better ranking, better listings, etc. Ultimately it results in more traffic. More targeted traffic. And what company doesn’t want that?

So get some fresh content, get a blog. If you don’t have the time to maintain your blog, consider hiring us. After all, we’re a professional blog content writing company….
