It’s a cute image and funny too. But it’s also a super important factor when keeping up your business blog. Not only is it important for you to have regular additions of content, but that content needs to remain relevant.
Sounds like a no brainer, right?
But you would be surprised at how many blogs have turned into content farms with ZERO relevant content. Everything from sports fan sites to a daily post of current pet peeves. Some blog owners turn their company blog into a personal pulpit, which is exactly opposite the goal. At least the goal for every business blogging client I’ve ever spoken to.
The idea is to add content that is going to help your search engine ranking for terms that are relevant to your company, it’s services, products, etc. So writing about your favorite sports team or whatever it is that ticked you off this morning is NOT going to further that goal. Just adding content isn’t good enough. It only matters if you are adding blog posts that work toward the theme of your website.
