It’s kind of cool working in this industry. I get to talk to lots of business owners each and every day. Most of them have their own little niches in their corner of the internet. So it’s really interesting to see all the different websites and different marketing techniques.

Content Alone is Not Enough

A few years back, all you had to do was put up a blog and post to it. That’s it. You were done. The content miracle would work itself. You could almost count on your blog kicking your competition squarely in the teeth on the search engine result pages.
That was then, this is now. Just like all good things, those days have come to an end. Just adding a blog to your site is not going to be enough. Neither is adding regular content to that blog. No sir, no maam. It’s going to take a wee bit more to get to the top these days. More >
Blogging for SEO

SEO, or search engine optimization, is important. If you have a website that’s been online for any length of time, you probably already know this. It may even be why you found this site.
But even though you know you need it, how exactly are you supposed to go about it? If you read up on SEO, you’ll quickly learn that there are tons of different opinions on the subject. What is important when it comes to SEO will depend on who you read or talk to. Some will say it’s more important to work on the pages themselves, optimizing your code for keyword density, etc. Others will say that it’s nonsense, you should only work on backlinks. A third group will tell you that you shouldn’t worry about SEO at all. More >
